as above please, really need my bike motd this weeken but no mirror on right side

if the mirrors were fitted when the bike came out of the factory then they are required for the MOT, at the end of the day it depends how strict your tester is as my gix has no mirrrors.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

thats not true, you dont need any mirrors for a MOT.

tail tidy, polished bits, custom paint job, k&n, dynojet, Full akropovik, down geared, GSXR calipers, hel brake lines front and rear & clutch line, maxtron resprung froks 120BHP

baz is what you stated above relevant for cars?? same as rules for seat belts? if it was built with them then you need them in, but if not then its ok to leave them out?

nope all cars built after 70 somethign or 60 sometjing require 3 mirrors (doest say where just 3 rearwards facing mirrors or so on older landrovers)

and seatbelts are for vehicles late 80's onwards but there is a new law about seats in back of landrovers etc. need to be front or rear facing + have seat belts so no more side facing slidey non seatbelts (see if i can find a clickey)

im sure for cars you must have eaither the rear view mirror or a offside mirror and thats it.

Lol thats good then as im gunna mot my bike sat and i have a broken mirror, will just take the other one off too then, cheers

For cars u need atleast 2 mirrors, 1 of which has 2 be th o/s.

Hi,

By law any motorcycle whether it was built for on road or offroad doesn't have to have any mirrors to pass an MOT.

But I think this lad has other ideas.
