Greetings....from Stic :)

Post by stic »

Yello there (now) fellow members of the ZXR owners club! :smt004 I have been a member for a little while, however as of this time last week, I am now a proud owner of a Kwaki ZX400! WOOOOOOP! :D First, about me! Im Nick from Cheshire (though, im in Liverpool as a bummiinnnn student right now, lovely times) Im 20, soon to be 21 I might add, and wanting to do my DAS around my 21st so I can ride the new beast n the nice twisties around my area in the summer! Anyone from Sandbach/Nantwich way, please say hello :) lol. Ridden 50's and 125's non-legally (as in, on provate roads and land) since I can remember, however not been on one since I passed my test 3 years ago...

Ok, and now, the bike, the reason why im here! Ok I baught her a week ago, for peanuts I might add! She is a 1997 Genuine UK model ZX400, with 26k on the clock! Taxed and MOT'd till May (funnily enough when I turn 21) To my knowledge she has a stainless manifold and scorpion can, a nice tail tidy, crashbungs and is even datatagged! There are bits that annoy me with it, like a little crack on the fairing, offside towards the rearsets, nothing major, speedo glass has a crack...grrr. Other than some cosmetics, she is great. Runs sweet as a nut and starts on the button every time! I have tried SO many times to put pics up, so I now hope I have it!! So, here it goes lol.

welcome to the forum stic. :smt006

Your headers are the standard steel units im afraid, not stainless. Otherwise thats a pretty smart bike!

Thanks for the welcome peeps :) I know about the top fairing, its off another ZXR as the guy who had it before me (mate) broke it when trying to change the screen or headlight. Forget which. So its just a different shade...doesnt bother me tho :P Yet anyway.

you can tell by the seams and aftermarket stainless systems tend to be slip ons.
