removing wheels

need to respray my wheels and obviously they need to come off, however i have no paddock stands, i would normally buy some but moneys tight as im outta work at the mo, is there any way of removing the wheels apart from stripping the fairings and laying it on its side? its mainly the front im gunna have a problem with

i used a lump of wood under the exhausts and a trolley jack then put ti on blocks hehe

Lewis - couple of options for the front - assuming you have a rear paddosck stand

1) If you have a garage then you can suspend the bike from the garage joists so that you can get the front off. This way you can do the job single handed. If i was doign this I would then use something to support the forks on while the wheel is away (large box, large block of wood, pile of breeze blocks, axle stands etc etc) so that the strop or whatever you used to suspend the bike while removing the wheel isnt under load for the time the wheel is away getting painted.

2) If you dont have a garage or dont have joists that can be used to suspend the bike you can achieve the same thing if you slacken of the front axle pinch bolts, slacken the axle (but dont remove) then get a mate to stand of the same side of the bike as the side stand and to pull the bike onto its side stand (lifting the front of the ground). You then whip off the wheel and before your mate drops the bike push something under the front forks (large box, tool box, block of wood etce tc to support them when he rolls it back off the side stand.

There must be other options but I have used both of the above and they work
