Hey there!

Post by SamZX »

Well I got my ZXR400 a couple of months back and joined the forum then. I've been working on it for a little while, and said I'd do a new members post and upload pictures of my bike when I found the USB cable for my phone (which i've only just done lol... It was under my bed :smt017 ) anyway... Here it is :smt001 I'm chuffed to bits with it, runs like a beauty and sounds great too, I've only ridden it in car-parks, airfields etc. as I have yet to do my test! June 25th here i come :excited hehe, but yeh she'll have to be 33 BHP'd for a while :smt015 but I may take the restrictors out early depending on how confident I feel. Im in Bury St. Edmunds near Ipswich for reference and should 'hopefully' be on the road by the end of June. (by the way the strange attachment on the front right of the fairing is a clamp lol, I was re-fiberglassing a fairing crack at the time)

So far the bikes got:

After-market Exhaust (No idea which one, if anyone knows i'd love to know although I get the feeling it may not be a commercial one)
Goodridge Braided brake lines
Polished frame
Anodised purple bolts all over!
Anodised purple cap's and lids
Purple tint visor
Slightly blue Phillips headlights
Green (alternate double-flash) strobes in front headlight unit (I'm like a strange ambulance.. bike :smt016 lol )
Green neons under rear under-tray (switch mounted in passenger seat lock barrel orifice)
Custom numberplate with ''Kawasaki Ninja'' logo, green trim, and "Iz it because I iz green" slogan! biggrin
Iridium sparks
Datatool Alarm

My next things to add are:

Wavey discs
Anodised purple brake and clutch levers
Heated grips (It's gonna have to be an all weather bike :smt012 )
Better looking indicators possibly LED
Lexus-style clear tail light
Dixie horn air horns (If they'll fit lol) if not I'll settle for a siren :smt016 hehe
K&N Oil filter
New set of tyres as the rears getting bald (whichever kind is most stable in the twisties)
More glowy lights (don't ask... It looks pretty at night smiler )

Thats it! I will no doubt be asking more questions in the comming months as I finish my mindless tinkering lol and I hope to be out and about soon.

I can't really remove the stickers as they've been laquered over aswell as the paintwork, but if and when I have a spill I may sand down the fairings and get a MotoGP style re-spray :smt001

Thanks mate, It took me ages to come up with it lol. Sad or what :smt003

Trust mate if u get clocked with em u will be done, flashing green lights for doctors only when on the way to an emergency :p

It's actually an offence to have any lights other than head lights on a vehicle which have the ability to flash whether used or not, you can even get done if they're not wired up to flash but could be.

Just warning u mate :)

Thats okay I've got a Rossi replica lid biggrin :smt016 lol.

But yea, hopefully they'll have no reason to dissasemble my headlight unit if I get pulled for something hehe, You can't see them from the outside unless of course theyre switched on.
