Fuel tank cap removal?!?!

Post by monkey46 »

Hey guys might be an easy one but I don't want to break anything! I've undone the allen bolts holding on the fuel filler cap on my tank but the cap doesn't want to move yet, is it glued also? zxr400L btw!

Thanks in advance if anyone knows =]

you need to open the flap and there is a phillips screw headed bolt holding it down a sort of security screw :smt003

Yep there is another bolt only visible when you open the filler.
Its there so people don't just undo the bolts on the outside and then steal all your fuel.

thats interesting cos i've removed one without opening it as i didn't have a key, i guess someone must have removed the internal bolt previously then.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
