I won't spoil it for those who missed it, but I strongly recommend you check it out on iPlayer. It's only available until tomorrow.
Some of the passes were spectacular! That KMR kawasaki looks awesome too - I was thinking about lary orange for my ZXR track bike.

It was a great meeting sadly I ran out of fuel .......but had a great race anyway...................

I wondered if you were there! Unlucky on the fuel - how were you doing before she went dry?
It looks like a nice "circuit" - nicer than Cookstown. Some of the lane sections are just mental though. Looks frighteningly like the type of road I crashed on!

How narrow was that start/finish chicane? On the TV it looked like the hardest corner in the whole course! lol

At the time I ran out 3 of us were fighting over 13th place there were 4 but he got away. At one stage there were 3 ZXR400s all together looked great from where I was.

Tandragee is one of the best road race circuits we have it has everything long fast staights, fast corners, jumps, two bombholes, narrow bits, wide bits. One section on the Coley hill road is 3 jumps into a bombhole and one jump out with 3 corners all in the space of 150 yards. Makes the Mountain at Cadwell look like a kiddies playground.
Tandragee is ten times the circuit Cookstown is. I'd reccommend it to anyone who wanted to try real road racing

The chicane just after the start is there for good reason yes it is very tight but it makes that bit very slow without it the corner would be a flatout right hander that does not have enough run off because of the paddock. We have had too many high speed crashes there and lost a few riders. The chicane makes it much slower. Having said that I've seen overtaking moves done in the middle of it.

All through the summer we have road races just like Tandragee on closed public roads in both North and South Ireland. All you need is your national licence and insurance and start permission from the ACU.............................Anyone got the b@lls ro come try ?????

Rather sadly my race didn't make it onto the telly....................too fat old and slow

I would seriously love to give it a go on the 400. Its just having the money and time to build up the credentials you need.

No it's not

Compare it to some of the insane antics I see road bike guys doing with cars, trucks, vans etc all coming the other way............and you'll find that real road racing is actually quite reasonable.
We have closed roads with no other traffic there are marshalls, doctors, first aiders, radio controllers, paramedics all on hand and with you in minutes if needed.

Go crash your road bike and see how long it takes to see a fully trained A&E doctor.

All you need is a national licence no more than two seasons racing should get you one.......................

I'm aiming to enter the EDIasia f400 next year and have an ambition of entering a road race. I'd love to enter the Isle of Mann GP, not with any delusions of winning, but for simply competing. Certainly consider the Tandragee 100 now though. I can't realistically see myself there next year, but once I've lost my orange bib, I'll seriously consider it.

Do the 400s run with the 250s? I tried looking out for a yellow ZXR but the Dunlop bros never leave the camera frame.

You do the Mann GP too don't you? Have you ever completed all the laps? By the looks of it it's tough to finish them all unless you're up with the front runners. And if that's the case, you're doing bloody well! lol

As a newcomer at Tandragee or any other road race here you will be in the Support Class which is split into 250-400 and 401-750.
Also 400s normally get out in the 250 race as well.

I am an ambassador for the Manx GP and also a life menber of the Manx MCC that runs the Manx GP. Part of my role is to help newcomers and envourage riders to come and try the Mountain circuit...................take it from me it is like no other race in the world...........once you've been it's like a drug you will always want to go again.

I'm more than happy to help anyone interested in doing the Manx. From help in filling out forms to learning the circuit. If your serious about doing it then your first step is to get your national licence..............after that it's easy

At the Manx you will get to finish all your laps in a race. Even after the winner is finished you are allowed to continue and complete your last lap even if you have been lapped.
I've been doing it since 1997. some good years and some not so good................... but always great fun and enormous personnal satisfaction. You'll never forget the first time you go down Baryhill at speed. Or your first 100mph lap............even a DNF can come with a great story that will make you smile...................the happy friendly paddock and the common cause of finding a new line on a particular corner and gaining a little time means everyone is happy and glad to help with advice and tips...............I love it it costs me a small fortune and a lot of sacrifice but its worth every penny.

If I ever managed a 100mph lap I would become so arrogantly pleased with myself that I'd begin introducing my self as Josh-100mph-lap-man.

Mind you I've seen your Eddie Kidd antics. You took a short cut didnt you! Cheating basta...

Best on a 600 is 105.something

I'd love to get round at 100 on a 400 I loaned my 400 to a guy last year and he did 105 on it first lap...................so it's just a matter of ?????????????????????
