been looking at getting a new horn, as mine seems really weak
was wondering what db the stok one is rated at ? they have 100db and also 130db ones on ebay (think the 130 will be too big to fit though) just wondering if a 100db horn would be any different ???

Mine is pretty darn loud so might be yours is faulty? You're welcome to have mine. I'm stripping it for the track so was only going to bin it.

The way I see it, if I've got time to find and use my horn in an 'emergency' situation, then I'd have easily had time to avoid the situation instead!reds wrote:been looking at getting a new horn, as mine seems really weak

A big handful of the loud grip gets their attention at least as much as a horn, plus I'm still covering all the right controls.
I remember buying an old 70s crosser for the Winter and just about maintaining street cred on it... until my mates girlfriend pressed the horn... it sounded like something out of Noddy, and everyone laughed at me...
Maybe that's where my horn aversion comes from??

haha maybe thats the way forward ! just i had a woman pull out on me (from being parked on double yellows, whilst still chatting to her friend on the pavement) slammed on the anchors, and the back end locked up.
dont think she even noticed as she drove off, want to make sure if it happens again i have a decent horn they would hear, to get the message across

The horn on my brother's old Evo 6 was such a nancy-boy horn. It was like an asthmatic Mouse.
The horn on my ER6N sounds the same as the horn on my ninja.
Ooh, we should do horn comparisons! Record and upload...
( I am far too unbusy at work today)
