there are still some good people in the world

Post by brian.a73 »

well i have decided that there are still some good people out there, i put a post up asking for advice on whats the best service manual to buy so i could try and do my own service to my 1991 zxr400.
cargo answered my call by offeing to burn one to cd and send me it. turns out he only lives about 5 miles from me. on learning this he offered to show me how to service it. didnt take me long to take up his offer lol.
bought my oil, plugs and filter on saturday and service was done last night.
it was great to see someone who really knows what they are doing in action, for my own part i know nothing about the mechanics of a bike and must say i would never have done it on my own even with a manual.
so i would just like to say a very big thankyou to cargo for giving up his night off work to show me how it is done........
i must say this guy knows his bikes and really has some good advice to give.
oh and i got ma cd manual and a great cup of coffee too. biggrin

Glad to hear he got it all sorted and you learnt something, not the first time he's helped a few members either iirc.

I reckon you should make his username yellow or something. Of his ~1000 posts, 999 of them are no doubt very, very helpful!
