Re: Newb in America
Hell, I will be happy with two wheels ON the bike at all! I took the day off tomorrow to get the front end on and pack for the track. Gonna be a good weekend! I bought an 84 Yamaha RZ 350 for my Dad. He came to pick it up last weekend and left me with his tire mounting and balancing rig. I already slapped a fresh Dunlop Sportmax on the back to match the dunlop on the front.

Ahhh yes the track was very interesting/frustrating. I am new to the track so no passing allowed in corners. Which is a damn shame. I would have to languish behind in turns and try to get them on the exit or out brake them on the next entry with out stuffing them. It was comical (or so I was told) to watch the 600 to 1000s walk away on every straight. I would close 20 feet on the exit to lose 40-60 on the straight and gain back all of it on the entry to the next. This bike is very forgiving. Ham-fisted throttle input didn't faze the bike in the slightest. I had to fix an oil leak out of the water pump (PO neglected to place an o-ring on when he reassembled the motor) and the kick stand safety switch screws fell out. I just need to track down the leak in the carbs and I will be set!
