Hey there,
I bought this l5 a couple of months ago to keep me rolling whilst waitin for my insureance to pay out. I had a SV650S (now resting in pieces).
Was planing to get a GSXR600 and give the ZXR to my Mrs to learn on (she's gonna do her direct access in tha spring). But i really like this little bike, think I'll keep her for a while.
Just a few little things to sort out,
1. Grab rail (already gone.)
2. Braided lines.
3. Need to sort out the back.
I do not like her from behind, the plate hanger is hideous, reflector/plate light got to go, Indicators need shrinking, not to sure about the rear light either.
Been looking about for a tail tidy with no joy, no one seems to do one for ZXR400. Any sugestions??
Seen a nice undertray wiv twin round lighs, but not sure if it will fit wiv the ARD hugger which i quite like.
Advice and sugestions would be apreciated.
Cheers Dan.

Hi D,
Welcome to the forum
That's the colour scheme I always remember the 400's being
Still wont be as fast as a Green one though
I'm sure someone more local to you will be along and advice about still available parts for it.
How about setting the rear light further in? I'll see if I can find a fenderless kit here for it.
can sort you out SP forks for it , got a carbon inner front mudguard somewhere, ram boxes and some other bits floating about
ATB,
MM!

Re: Sort out my A***
hello and welcome. That undertray you speak of is made by Ermax, and as far as im aware they are the only compnay that make undertrays for the ZXR. I seem to rememebrr a couple of people making undertrays from other bikes fit buy cutting etcc.
Think they can be had new for about 100 quid. Im sure you cant have a mudguard with them either as they touch with movement of the suspension.

Hey guys, thanks for the response.
I found a smoked led tail light on ebay, quite nice but seller in germany might hold on to find something nearer.
Still quite tempted by undertray, will let ya know how tings progress.

Hi and welcome
Only tail tidy available is a crappy in my view universal thing which i have on my bike L5 which I have tidied up and now looks better than it did
You can get them from halfords But would like to hear if any one has a better option
A few members have gone the New subframe modded which you can get cheap of the bay and a new rear seat say off a cbr 600rr Which works a treat
Good luck fella and keep us all upto date with any findings
