Hey everyone, I have browsed this forum as a guest for awhile now and the time has come when a zxr400 is a possibility for me. I finally passed my full test last November and now my little Honda Rebel 125's head gasket has gone. I have been running the poor thing into the ground and it has done it's best trying to keep up. It should be sorted soon but then I will be moving it on with the hope of getting a zxr. I have been looking around, there are a few out there around the £1000 mark, I am particularly looking for a 1990's official UK model as the insurance companies seem to like that, and any bonus is good for a 17year old who hasn't even got a year's NCB yet. So any advice on getting hold of something decent would be much appreciated, no pics of anything atm as frankly I don't think any of you would be particularly interested in a 125 cruiser, does look nice though in a vintage kind of way

nice to meet you, im from the portsmouth area and my zxr is my first 'big' bike now that its all sorted its great fun.keep an eye out on the forum as bikes are often coming up for sale there may even be some for sale now.

Where abouts in Hampshire you from? I live in Basingstoke but at uni in Pompey. ZXR is my first bike which I've had for a year, loved every minute of it. I'll be selling it late summer for travelling fees, suppose its a bit late for you then, but if you ever want to see one, just let me know and i'll ride wherever so you can have a look
