Failing full perspex side panels, what about cutting a window in there and filling the windows with clear plastic/perspex?

Remember the rage with pc cases showing off the internals a few years back :D

you got me thinking now how cool would it be to have clear perspex rocker cover and engine covers so you see the internals working that would be way out there have'nt seen much of that out there I'd say

what do you think... :smt002

Oh I see must be lost in translation between UK speak and Aussie speak as I guess we have different sayings.

So are you eating your hat then?

yeah like that but would have to make my own cause cant find any already made.

want a rocker/ valve cover so you can see the cams running

lots of hours moulding to acheive that but would have to make inside mould of the cover and then make outside mould sandwich them together and pour epoxy in the hole very hard to do might give it a shot

psycleworkz do a clear clutch window for the zxr4 and they're custom made so im pretty sure if you send your casings off they'll do the work. Heres the link, hope it helps. http://www.psycleworkz.com/

Awesome work mate! I have one myself so very interesting to see what you've done. What did you use to polish the frame, etc?

Come on MM, where on earth do you get these exhausts?! I've actually made quite alot of mess on my desk since seeing those pics. I'm interested in the RPM dual or 4-2-2. Would these fit the 400? Are the header spacings the same as the 250?

Oh, and whilst i've got you here, do you know much about the BEET 441cc 13.5:1 pistons? I've seen JE pistons doing a 444cc kit, but it's only 12.5:1. Am i right in thinking that the beet ones will be better quality? And would the extra compression be desireable?
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

I bought my own freestanding buffer which you use a mixture of stiched sisal buff with a dry cutting compound for rough polish and remove scratches, and then a soft loose leaf calco buff with the colour as it is called, its a very hard compoundthis is what gives it the depth and shine.

And did I forget to mention the 200hrs :smt015 :smt015 I spent doing this job most of it sanding. If you have one of these you'll know that the flat section of frame just in front of the rear brake and gear levers is actually cast and also has welds on it, well mine has none of that and that was machined by hand to get it flat and cast free took countless hours and attempts to get it right but in the end they came up great and thats what matters. :gamer
