BSB Croft

Post by stevezx7r »

Hi all, just wondering if anyone is going to Croft to watch the BSB lads bash it out?

I'm going with the wifey n kids, camping on Friday and Saturday in a nearby field. Should be good, hopefully the weather will be good but I doubt I'll notice as I intend to get slightly drunk throughout the proceedings ;)

Hi Si, good luck on your race ;) My first race was at Croft, it's an excellent circuit, quite tricky in places though - I could never get the hairpin right :smt017

Anyway, I'll bring the tribe round and show the kids what goes on in the background, hopefully they won't fiddle with anything :smt018

See you at the track, and if I miss you, the best of luck ;)

Yup, intend riding there and back on the Sunday on the ZXR. Never been to Croft before so am looking forward to it. Hope these showers hold off. Am hoping to have a look round the paddock so I'll look you up if I do Si. Either way that's at least two lots of people who'll be watching out for you and hoping you do well, so good luck!

Good day to go speeding in South, West and East Yorkshire and other neighbouring counties. According to the Northern Echo N Yorks police are drafting in reinforcements from neighbouring forces to control the antics of all the bikers heading for Croft. So expect unmarked cars and bikes, radar vans and various other impediments to 'making good progress' :smt002 . "American Express? That'll do nicely, sir. So nice of you to bolster our speeding fund. Now ride safely (til you get over the border) and we hope to welcome you back to N Yorks soon" :smt012

Well, Croft was good, shame the weather was a bit on/off, mainly off. It was handy that we only live about 12 miles away as I'd forgot my coat I was able to nip home and pick it up. That and several more blankets as we nearly froze on the first night shocking

Anyway, the racing was excellent, the kids enjoyed it and I was able to spend the entire weekend in various states of drunkeness without upsetting anyone. Result.

Sorry I didn't get to see you in the pit lane Si but I'm sure the last thing you would have wanted was a bunch of strangers hanging around poking noses into things etc ;)

I never got in the end, forecast was toad and I didn't fancy riding all the way from Doncaster & back, plus standing around in the rain most of the day. Showers I can do, general rain and the Kwak stays in bed. Shame cos I was looking forward to it.

Squires cafe on Sunday for the Spring Show - if it stays dry!
