Engine turns but no spark!!!!!

Hi guys i have the same the same problem as below but i have a uk bike and uk loom. i have checked continuity of the loom and all is fine the earth is fine and i have bypassed the sidestand switch. i have no spark and getting frustrated!!!!!! :smt013 :smt013 :smt013

Exactly how did you bypass the side stand switch ? ?

The clutch switch is a possible problem

We just looped it. The clutch switch only cuts out when your in gear and pull away?

Have a look at the starter solenoid fuse, it's a 30 amp pull out type - mine has blown a couple of times when I had the battery on charge while trying to start the bike. If you still have idiot lights then it could be something else.

Right got it started. If anyone does not realise the H model has a different ignition barrel there is a resistor in the L model which the ecu picks up then allows the spark! Now we have it started but runs like a bag of spanners!

I am assuming it is you that changed the ignition switch ? ?

Sorry Mori-man correct i have changed the ingnition barrell to a L model and bang it starts! As you say now time for a service and balance the carbs and a bloody good clean up.
