As above just rang up cradleys to order up a load of bits for my rebuild and they've quoted £78 for a cam chain tensioner, ive ordered a new chain and guides but £78 for a tensioner seems excessive, my current tensioner looks in good condition and works as it's supposed to but ive no idea of it's age would you risk reusing the tensioner or would you be spending the £78?
just had a quick look through the bikes paperwork it had a new tensioner and chain in 2004 and has only done 5000 miles since so im probably going to reuse the tensioner unless someone has a good reason not to?
cheers
chris

Re: Would You Reuse A Tensioner
you can re use the tensioner provided that its within spec
but you could call frasers of gloucester and get a tensioner for about 25 squid
cam chain was about the same price
h t h rich
