if F1 cars were alowed to use turbos still they would be pushing out a bucket load more power than they do now. IIRC F1 cars are only just starting to get close to the power they used to pump out back when turbo's were still alowed.

Ones made for racing ones made for slowing off how small your cock is and how bike your wallet is simple as!
ZXR750 L1
tail tidy, polished bits, custom paint job, k&n, dynojet, Full akropovik, down geared, GSXR calipers, hel brake lines front and rear & clutch line, maxtron resprung froks 120BHP

Well the Veyron is the best road legal car they (VW/Bugatti) could make, but an F1 car is nowhere near as fast as they could make a racecar.
Where's that banging head on wall smiley? Oh here we go...

banghead

The Veyron is the best car that VW group could make within the regs for a road legal vehicle and whatever other constraints they set themselves.

The F1 car is the best car that Honda could make within the regs for an F1 car.

The Veyron is not the quickest car in a straight line that VW group could make.

The Honda F1 car is not the quickest car in a straight line that Honda could make.

I'm not sure how many more ways I can say this, or why you are insistent on arguing that one is better than the other. Anyway, if you are talking about making fast cars they both get pissed on by this...

@rene: you're right, mid-eighties turbo F1 engines could be made to produce over 1000bhp from a 1.5ltr, which is absolutely phenomenal even today. Of course in 1000bhp trim they would last about 5 laps - long enough for qualifying - and then they'd swap the engine for a less tuned one for the race.
In the garage:
Kawasaki ZXR400 L3 - shiny
Suzuki DR800 - bouncy
1978 Suzuki GS400 - PROJECT RETRO RACER!
Kawasaki GPz500S - for sale soon
Honda CG125 BR-J - in bits

Aww you beat me to it - I was gonna ask if anyone remembered the old 'qualifying engines'! :smt003

There isn't an argument - just Jeremy Clarkson talking bullocks again!

And I still say the SSC is better than a Veyron. :smt002

shocking

When I'm 71 I hope I'm doing that job!!!

I don't know which of those facts is the most amazing?

They broke the record ON A PUBLIC ROAD, when the Veyron and Koeneisisggigig both did it on perfect test tracks.
It appears they were running it on 91 RON fuel!
That road was shorter than the proper test tracks the others used.
Since that run it's got lighter wheels and a much better engine because the cornering g-forces were giving oil worries.
It's got heated -ing seats, 10 speaker soundsystem, widescreen DVD and all the other luxury stuff!

People, I think the ugly old Veyron is officially dead!
