L model Carb Differences Compilation

Post by Neosophist »

Having spent quite a while getting my ZXR to run properly, mainly due to it having mis-matched carbs / rubbers etc i'm in the process of compiling a list of zxr-400 carb differences.

Just focussing on the L model at the moment, going to put it all in a spreadsheet when i'm done

From the manuals / fiches I have.

Needles:

N77S N77Q N77R N77W

Emulsion Tubes:

13091-1783 13091-1827 13091-1634 13091-1800 13280-1063

Jets (fitted as standard, not race use / optional):

90 90/88 82 95

If anyone knows of any different Jets / Needles / Emulsion tubes than the above please let me know.

Also i'd really like to document the emulsion tubes in more detail.. number of holes in them, going to goto cradley over the weekend and see what they have in stock / see what they look like. :)

This is an interesting coincidence. I've just (last night) tried to copy my mates carbs in my set up and the only thing I see as different is the needle code. Both standard set of needles but what's the difference between N77S and N77Q?

Not seen an N77Q upclose, put them side-by side and you'll see... pics / post results would be really appreciated :)

The N77c's are identical to the N77s's apart from lenth.. the N77S is shorter by about 5mm
