Is the Headlight on a l8 2001 ment to be on when the ignition is on or only once the bike is running ? Havin a few problems with the bike ignition and tryin to rule things out.

is it an import?

If its an import, the lights will come on when your engine starts. Otherwise its a uk bike which you should be able to switch it on and off as you please via the light switch.
