Hi everyone, going to be doing a bit of work on my cousins zxr 400 l9 again,
just been trauling through all the threads on the cam chain tensioners,
as its got the new type fitted am I right in saying to check it leave the large centeral bolt in with it removed, and do the press test? as per the earlier type
also when the inspection cover is off it the tensioner is nackard what position would the tensioner blade be in ? saw the pictures of the new chain fitted where it was halfway and with a nackard chain it was at the top, how does this relate if the tensioner has failed
thanks in advance,
Tom

If the tensioner has failed then you will be able to push it down against the ratchet, not sure what it would look like
