Kit Spec Valve Clearances

Hi, new to the forum (well new to posting) and have a question about those running SP cams to kit spec clearances...

Do they sound like the motor is rattling itself to bits?

Yes .I normally set mine to standard but on the top end of the setting

Thanks, that's good to know although it has lasted 10+ trackdays this year without exploding lol. I've recently checked/adjusted them to the lower limit of kit spec as a few were tight (even for standard spec) and a few were slack.

been told by a reputable racer/bike builder that the kit spec clearances are a waste of time, best sticking to standard ones. they sound like death anyway
