It cut out, electrics, maybe rectifier...?

So having got my bike running, took it for a quick spin (20 miles, wasn't stressing it as haven't run it for a few months) and it just suddenly stopped, as if the electrics cut out. When I tried to start it, it would turn over but it made a very weak attempt at starting. I left it for a while and it was stronger after a while, but not enough to start it.

I've been told it could be rectifier? What do you think?

I am having a similar problem, but i have been told it might be the wires to the relay box thingy have corroded could be the same then again it couldnt

it dies after a couple of miles then wont start straight away but after about 15 min it starts and dies after a few more miles and so on....

Hopefully it should be fixed tomorrow so ill let you know what it might be

The guy who helped me fix the whole thing (he's really good with bikes) is going to help me test the rec/reg and battery etc. I'll let you know what happens.
