Hot Running problems, Sticky revs!!!Very P*ssed!!!

Post by deathdealer »

Hi,new to this forum but have been reading through. I have a zx400 g 88, the problem is when its warm doesnt like to start. It will just takes a bit of time. The other thing is that when coming to a stand still the revs take a while to drop below 3k. She responds well normaly. Does anyone know the standard float height and or all the standard carb setup, including jet and needle size standard etc. As i cant find out this anywhere :smt011 , the zxr is 11mm and i have been told that the zx4 is 16mm, this seems a bit heigh to me. Any ideas would really help other wise shes going to the little bike hell :smt010!!!!!!!!!
Many thanks [/img]

the zx400 was the same as our gpz400 wasn't it? my old man used to have a manual for 1 so i'll speak to him later see if he still has it.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

i wouldnt worry about the cdi box.. it'll be the carbs.. its probably worth sealing the carbs to the inlet rubbers with silicone sealant to avoid air leaks.
