New Rider Starting on the ZXR400

Post by superman »

Hi all bought my ZXR400 and it arrived on sunday my gosh its honesly one of the best lookin ZXR's iv seen and iv looked round the net for a while trying to determine what bike to have for my first and i decided on the ZXR because its supposed to handel like a dream. i hope this is all true and the bike dont cause me any grief engine wise cos im now broke lol. im so excited thoe iv got my DAS on the 28th feb and i was supposed to have my test last friday but because of the damn snow it was put back how annoyin.

has anyone got any tips for riding this bike and maintenance issues, iv notices the seating position is a little odd from when i took it for a test ride round the block (strictly for medicinal purposes) and it felt exhilarating but im not sure if that was the bike or the fact that if i get caught im boned. ROLL ON THE 28TH hope i pass.................................. oh how can i post a pic of my bike in the signature box???????

hi there superman.

know how you feel on the test delays! When I started riding it was just after new year (2002) and I was ringing the CBT place up every day to see if the snow on their car park had melted yet!

that's a pretty nice looking bike, even if it is green.
In the garage:
Kawasaki ZXR400 L3 - shiny
Suzuki DR800 - bouncy
1978 Suzuki GS400 - PROJECT RETRO RACER!
Kawasaki GPz500S - for sale soon
Honda CG125 BR-J - in bits

Yea, pretty cool. is this the part where u tell me its either nicked racked off or you bid on it an now ur gona kick my ass... althoe its a nice bike im thinkin i may now have dived in the deep end slightly cos i dont know whats been done to this bike after lookin at them service manuals so this means i need to change things to be on the safe side.
