Don't think i've shown the bike in one piece before so here are some updated pics.

There's a few bits missing like rear caliper and hugger, but they'll be on shortly.

thats very nice, never been a big lover of the blue zxr400s but that looks gorgeous with the black frame and those wheels.

Very nice looking bike. I'd love to have mine look that new. I like the back with the hugger and chaingaurd removed.

Black wheels would look nice on it I reckon!

What colour are them wheels on one pic they look gray and another they look blue i think the blue is just the fairing shining on to the wheels but still enlighten me.

Thanks for the comments all, it's nice to know the hard work and money pays off. Nothing is ever finished in my eyes, so the bike will undoubtably change in due course. The fairings are far from perfect up close, 16 years of use takes it's toll but they're alright for now.

In the not so distant future I'm going to fit the rear caliper (didn't think I used the rear much, but not having it there make me realise I was wrong) will put a new exhaust hanger on because that one was just a temp quick fix, like all quick fix's they tend to stay longer than planned. I do have the original knocking about somewhere though.
I'm also thinking of mini LED indy's as well, just they where a right pain on my last bike.
I've got some clipons and grips to go on, but couldn't get past the damn tamper proof bolts under the ignition barrel, will re-attempt when I can be arsed :smt003

Random: You are right about the wheels, they are grey just the light may make them look blue.

il4: I tracked down the discs off an ebay member who was selling braking discs. Apparently braking do do (snigger) specific discs for the zxr, which they can supply.
Get hold of them here:

You need to turn the handle bars on full lock to the right, the top yoke should them come right off ;)

You mean without undoing those bolts under the barrel?
