my bike wont start!!!!

Post by Ropey »

i've read a few of the other posts about the same topic but my problem's a little different. bought a pretty tatty bike with the thought of doing it up (tis my first bike). The bike started grand when i bought it and took it out a few times and loved it then the problems started. was flyin along grand then after a clunky gear change the engine died and rolled to a stop!!!! cranked it, pushed it nothing so i started to push it home zxr is no light bike. tried it when i got home nothing left it for a day one push of the button started first time, went in had dinner came back again NOTHING just cranked away. Today i took the tank and air box off pushed the button hey presto started, clean the filter put the tank back on nothing. I'm stumped HELP.

Cheers for the responses, your were spot on with the neutral switch. Took of the cover and the wire was down to the last thread!! The only problem I have now is it tends to flood, if I pull back the throttle too hard when she’s idling she dies and spots of fuel come out the carbs, is this normal?
