Run in.

Post by wonderpupp »

Now I have ozzy run in, I'm keeping it. :)

10k, then 13k, then 16.5k red line. Revs through it. lol.

It's a ZXR400 on steroids!! Ha hah haaaaaa.

And the sound when you get that high ha haaaaa.a and then the drop into the corners on those BT015s are so worth £160 for the rear. he he.

OK, i blagged yesterday off work and rode my bike all day long. All day. 12 hours.
At least I enjoyed myself and the £76 I spent on petrol. lol. And the twisty back roads of the new forest.

I don't think I ever had this much fun on my 636. Didn't have to wring the throttle for anything on 636, so much mid range. But this 600, my god, if I had testicles, they would be inverted by now with the brakes and the uncomfortable seat and all. Just like I remember a 400 being like. Except 400 PLUS.

Everyone, get a 2007 ZX6R after your 400 dies, you'll love it.

Get something in place of my ZXR400, never!

Sounds like your having fun, i must admit i am considering a ZX6 after i graduate from uni, but im also toying with a Trumpet 675......

I want something newer, but kwack are either doing the 600 which is too small engine wise or the 10R which is too fucking crazy. Id love them to do a 750, but the only decent offerings sport bike wise are the Gixxer 750, and thats a chavs bike! There is the Z750 i suppose but then thats too naked for the motorway work i usually do :smt017

theres no way im giving up my 636 for the new zx6r, sure the 2007 6r has become more like the high revving Yamaha R6 but id rather have the second gear power out of the corners ( for masters im on about exiting macdonalds roundabout onto the highway, ive literally teared the left side of my tyre thanx to that corner, also come on pupps you know the 636 is a high revver in its own right, 15500 redlines counts for somat and then theres the red lol,

anyways babe glad to see your enjoying the bike all it took was to get passed the run in stage :), now go buy yaself some mods for it :P,

Pillion pegs are off. Rear exhaust cover is powdercoated black.

I'll mostly be doing cosmetic mods because I wont be keeping it more than 2/3 years. I'll swop it in for another lower mileage one when I've worn this one out. lol.

Will be relocating / changing rear brake reservior in due course.

Whooped a 2000 R1 yesterday in the twisties. That was nice. :) I'm really feeling like the chilled out happy biker I once was before when I had my 400. Not an aggro-wing mirror snatcher I have recently become.

Also, I love the high revving. And the slipper clutch to slap it down gears (yep, the tyre does still spin up though). And the toad-hot brakes. And the green-ness of it all and the fuel chugging. The cheaper tax than my 636 and the higher seat height (old bike was lowered following a harsh leg accident at work...) and my inability to have a foot flat on the ground comfortably. Feel like a proper racer on this one you know.

You all know when you find a bike you click with, you love it and get all excited just thinking about the ride home on it at the end of the day.

Exactly what I did, superman. As soon as I had my 25th birthday, I put the deposit on my 636 cos the insurance became very sensible. Then people started hitting me off and it's now a nightmare. The years' free insurance made the deal for my new ZX6R.

Well it should really drop at 25. the car thing is annoyin thoe i thought it dropped when you had 5 years no claims but it makes no bloody difference its 25 and older now. the insurance companies are tossers in my view. im still as mental on the road now as when i was 18 :smt005

insrance is the bigest legal scam going one on them things that really anoys me... :smt013

I find insrance on bike more reasonable than cars. Im 19, got a zxr750, maico GM Star250 and a CRMAR250 (as well as being able to ride anybike) all on one policy for £430 a year, liveing in a high risk area (not good for crossers) and 3 points

i WAS paying 1,500 for a 1.4 corsa SRI at 17 but i've now got a company car so hoppfully avoid car insrance untill i become a magicly better driver at 21.... :smt011
