Hi Gang,

Slowly, we’re getting the nuts & bolts down; the ordeal of scrupulously
developing the final version of the NEANDER is almost finished.

And it’s time to show you some life ...

After testing, torturing, and optimizing the Neander motor for over two
years in our prototype vehicle, the true vehicle is finally finished.

What held us up for so long? According to our original plans, we wanted
to get rolling last year!

Well, as far as the chassis went, actually everything. From the
technically very demanding twin-forks to the intricate swing arm,
everything kept us racing to get it all exactly the way we wanted it.
Many technical requirements, which were very demanding on us and which
put various obstacles in the path of the design goals, required new
solutions before we could be satisfied with them and get a good night’s
sleep.

In this spirit, the right time has arrived to introduce you all to our
workshop team, who are responsible for building the Neander here,
on-site, in Kiel. They have worked 24 hours per day (nights do not
exist, right?!) over the last few months and years.

Let’s start with Martin "Hasi" Reuter on the right; responsible for the
design. To quote him, "undetoured attention to the tasteful protection
against damage". If anyone has a problem with that, send us an email so
that we can give you Hasi’s telephone number.

Christoph is our production foreman, who for his crowning achievement,
charmed a diesel tank from 32 parts (and it could well be a spaceship).

Dieter is a genius when it comes to glass-reinforced plastic and
responsible for all of the essential and complicated plastic parts such
as the tail, the tank cover and the instrument panel.

Finally Timmi, who worked under the supervision of our Munich Motor
Faction (including Rupi Baindl, Ewald Mayer and Bertl) on the
construction of the final version of the motor, and decorated himself at
home in Kiel with blisters from welding while building the chassis.

The Neander itself is resting in the middle of this gang. It’s still
under wraps, of course, but she’s almost ready to show herself off!

In short: Everyone is very excited. We’ve got bloody fingers,
unquenchable thirst, and we’re running the last lap!!

aghhhh my eyes! warn me before i go looking at kiddy fidler bikes!

It sure is fugly.

Turbo diesel tho. Thats got to be fun. :)

I was just wondering if you could get one into a KLE250 chassis ..

not really got an advantage over, well anything has it.

100Hp from a 1.4L
200Nm sounds fun though
