Side stands

Post by Northern ANdy »

So whats the deal with them, mine seems to lean over for miles, so much so I'm worried about it. I probably bent it abit when I was jacking the bike against it. Looked on ebay and there seems to be a curved version, and a straight one. Or perhaps one hasn't been bent yet lol. Are there two diff stands? And how far does your bike lean?

Thanks
Andy

i always worry about how far its leans, even more when you on a slight slope, genraly i give the bike a quick wobbel befor walking away to make sure its not going to fall lol

the CRM stand springs up by its self whenever it fancys it, genraly lean it agest a wall now

its not that it flicks up on its own its that it flicks up while the bike is still leaning on it lol

could be that the bracket is worn where the bolt goes through, this will make it lean further than std.

suppose I should have thought to look while the bike was in bits, oh well live and learn. I'll borrow a paddy one day and take a look. Probably is the bracket and the fork in the stand has opened out I bet.
