Had some rain all night and day today so far. But i dont think anywhere is flooded, the rain has been pretty light.

Re: Flooding all over the country
Yo masters, one of the lorry drivers got back, they have closed off studley, u know that road spernal ash -
ton court etc, he just showed me a video cam, and the water is seriously window high on the cars they cannot get through, and he said the water was up his door, now im getting worried i got 3 hours still to go, and the rain isnt letting off,
ive just asked someone directions to the nearest motorway, i think they said the m5, but its debatable now if the roads around here are any good, lets just say morrisons which is 500 yards or so from where im sat the petrol pumps are under water, and i need petrol too !,
so masters how is Redditch

In the words of the angry black weatherman on Family Guy:

"IT'S WET!"
Apparently it's flooded as usual around by Bordesley Garage and the Fire Station.
That's a pisser.
A few times I've got to the traffic lights there in about 2ft of water... gone reeeeeeeeeally slowly........ starting to wobble.... lights are green........ car still in front of me..... wobbling a bit more.... then
OH FOR COOKS SAKE!!!
Foot has to go down, water flooding into my boot, just as the fkr in front finally decides to move!!! :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 :smt013

Re: Flooding all over the country
hey you know whats eating me? nobody is saying 'why is the weather this bad?' or 'bit unusual this init?'.
the media seems to be in total denial that this might be manifest climate change.
weird init.
I can't remember a summer in the last twenty years where it rained solidly for two months.
I mean where is all this water coming from?
higher sea levels in the Atlantic, caused by what? melting ice cap? increased precipitation inevitable?
if so, is this not going to lead to an ice age as the gulf stream gets diluted by all that cold water?
is anyone out there even remotely worried/concerned/annoyed that man is so hell bent on his own annihilation?
sucks.

Re: Flooding all over the country
Well the rain has managed to flood our office which is on the 1st floor of our building.

And this is my local high street

There is a funking funny story behind these two cars.
The first car was being driven by a young Turkish lad who owns a head dressers along side where the bridge is. He never thought the water was that deep & ploughed into to only to have to swim out.
But the 2nd car story is a cracker!!!
The young lad got to the edge of the water & was waving to cars to stop, but some silly bint put her foot down & drove straight into the middle of it
He had to swim back into to it to rescue her.
He was having his pic taken by a local paper photographer & as he told the story I burst out laughing. The photographer & the guy started chuckling too.

I wouldn't have swum back in to rescue her.
I'd have called it Darwinism in action and had a fag.
Great pics btw! Thanks for sharing!!

Re: Flooding all over the country
btw its not man annihilating himself, its a natural phenominom, put it this way over 50 percent of the worlds co2 is dumped by cows farting, so no man is not annihilating himself we just got a thing for burgers steak and beef roast dinners, you want to sort the prob bye bye cows, but with that said its still a natural occurance, and for anyone not understand why we got loads of rain, apperently because what were getting the weather system here, it is meant to be above the sea between scotland and iceland, but its not its down here, so who knows maybe its here to stay all summer ! ?, we shall have to see,
anyways im being relieved the next guard is coming in, my boss called him in early, he is local i got 20 miles to get home, so fella's i hope theres not too much traffic or a big cue and any available petrol station,
Rob
