Well im not happy at all today

Post by tng21 »

Went to norwich today to get my mate to do my chain for me and on the way home, my bike just decided to die for some reason. Ive had to bump start it the last few days coz i think the starter motors buggered, but after it died, it just would bump start.

So, in the baking heat, ive just had to push the bloody thing about 2-3 miles all uphill, and over steep bridges for that matter, so im not in the happiest moods today. Now i think i need a bath with ice cubes in it and then for a long sleep lol

God my legs feel like Jelly.

Oh dear mate, get a good nights sleep and deal with it in the morning, you look at it while tired and it will just get peed off with it. Did you try reserve by any chance?

well Baz i thought it might be a nackered battery when it first wouldnt start so i then started to have to bump it. But ive had it on charge etc and all the lights are still bright, horn work, indicators are fine etc. Janine (my mate who has a zxr ) said hers had the same problem once. When you stried to start it you got nothing but loads of tickin noises very fast and she said she replaced her starter motor and it was fine after that.

nice one! I was gonna suggest taking the plug out n having a look at it - that will tell you whether or notyour bike was running on 3 or 4 cylinders :-)

Glad to hear youve got it all sorted

yeah well by the look of the bike and what needs doing to it i think im gonna have to give it a bit of a overhaul anyway, so new oil, filters, plugs, chain etc etc.

The owner before said to put water in expansion bottle so i guess he never put the coolant in the rad filler neck under the tank the hole time he had it so makes me wonder what else would need doin
