now then everyone how r we all everytime i change down a gear when slowing i am geting a really irratating squeking witch lasts about half a second it mainly happens when its cold. i thought it was the chain but i have oiled it god knows how many times and it hasnt cured it has anyone got any ideas, want it sorting because i have a friend who wants to race me down the drag strip in his 250hp renault 5 turbo and i want my baby working as good as she can so i can piss all over his bonfire and hopefully say to him! (hense why i wnt to no the exact 0-60 time). cheers

5.5 seconds if im correct, i remember this as its as fast as an lotus elise 0 - 60

well i read a review that said it was 4.4 seconds. and i have heard by a lot of people that they have the same 0-60 time as a bmw M3 which is 4.8! does anyone else want to join this debate

even at 4.8 0 - 60, id be worried about how fast this 250 bhp renualt 5 really is, u may want a nos bottle hooked up to your zxr !

Isnt a renault 5 front wheel drive? How exactly is he going to lay 250bhp down without spinning? Proof will be in the pudding but id bet youd have him off the start easily and maybe a close finish.

being a car fan most of my life, i would say a 250 brake 5 would probably piss on a zxr 400. Jamie shaw had a 400bhp 5 which was seriously fast, the power will go down, and its a bloody small extremely lite car.

Ive taken my zxr up to the top of its rev range and although very quick, i would personally say a 250 brake 5 will take it easily

What's the power to weight ratio?

Around 300, 400hp per tonne?

I think the ZXR is around 500-600.

depends on how heavy you are mate an how well you can pull off with the ZXR cos the 5turo will be like shite off a shovel 0 - 60 i assume he has put fatter tyres on it, BUT i think the bike will nick it depending on how its driven and how heavy the rider is, you will be able to judge that for yourself thoe. i recon the car will go 0 - 60, 5 secs max.

i think some of you guys need to go youtube some footage at the drag strip with them renault 5's ive seen them b4 and there really tuned up, just rockets down the strip, were talking your need a very fast bike then,

divide the dry weight of the zxr 165 kilos to a tonn you get 6.060606060606 etc, round that off to a 6 x power output in maximum horsepower 65 will = 393.9393939393,

so lets round that off to 393, this is all theoretical, you need to add them time not in the power band vs the car already having a high mount of torque in the low revs then when the boost hits having sheer power launching it forward, although im not glorifying cars i would send it would soo be different if you were trying to drag a suped up jap car down the drag strip, a zxr400 vs 1000bhp skyline etc, hmm no chance, but i would like to see the outcome vs the 5

I think the bike will pull it off to be honest yea the 5 turbos are quick done up but nothing like a scooby or evo. it would cost to much time and money to make it near that. unless they have it hooked up with nos then there could be problems but dont forget them front wheels need to pull the car along if it were 4 wheel drive thoe dont give em the satisfaction of thrashin you. (like i say JUST TURN LEFT)

its still very brave of anyone taking on a fast car in a straight line race when there on any 400!, i remember initially whooping a 1.6 106 gti to 100 mph once we hit 100 mph he flew past me, this was going up a hill mind, but yeah, a 400 is not totally superior to cars, neither is my 636, then in the big big leagure the 1 litres can have a hard time !,
