Does anyone know some tech specs for me
My friend and I are trying to compare the 1999 ZXR400, 2000 R6 and the 2000 Skyline R34 GTT.
Basically we are trying to compare the 0-60mph, top speed, BHP, 60-140km/h, and the 1/4 mile. If anyone knows the answer to any of these for any of the vehicles please lemme know. Basically I wanna know how much I'm gonna kick my mate AJ's a$s on my ZXR400 wiv him in his Skyline. I already know my a$s is gonna be kicked by my ex on his R6.

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
A lot depends on the driver.
I doubt very much you would even keep up with the Skyline to 60.
They have soo much power & tourque, deffinately not after 60, it will just pull away from you like you're standing still.
Good luck though, & be carefull!

you'll be around the same speed to 70 odd then they'll disapear into the distance. Just keep them on the back roads 9 times out of 10 a R6 rider cant go round a bend for toad

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
that depends 100% on rider. But with an experianced good rider id expect the R6 to be the faster bike, but for a less experianced rider the zxr will kill it, just a much easyer bike to jump on and ride fast!

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
quite true, depending on the model of the skyline an the mods on it (likely not the top spec) i think you will be last in the ZXR but be careful not to get behind your ex on the R6 because the road will be wet from his tears when the skyline pings from view, even on corners the skylike will kik a$$ just watch incase the dude drifts it you dont wana be knocked off your bike defo be careful but you probly wont get that close

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
lol, why do people think zxr's are actually FAST in an objective sense ? sure they FEEL fast, and handle quite well, but really, a seventeen year old, 60bhp, 400cc bike.. its like expecting an XR3i to take on a subaru impreza.

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
I do agree they are pretty quick for what they are thoe they will beat most cars off the lights easy but compared to a modern 6er they got nothin on it powerwise an certainly not these top sports cars. if i was at the lights an one pulled up next to me like a 911 turbo i would wish i was on an R1 to kick a$$ but in reality i would just TURN LEFT

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
They are fast in thier own right tho. I would just like to see the results of a new new ZXR400, complete re-design of one.

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
I think if they built a new zxr 400 it would be pushin 100bhp maybe thats a scerious amount of power aint it.

Re: Does anyone know some tech specs for me
dout it would be that powerfull more like 80 odd. But the amount of money they'd have to put into developing it wouldent be worth it (in there minds) when they have 600's that are selling perfectly well

superman wrote:if i was at the lights an one pulled up next to me like a 911 turbo i would wish i was on an R1 to kick a$$ but in reality i would just TURN LEFT

let me see
480 hp @ 6,000 rpm
0-60 mph: 3.7 sec.
Top Track Speed: 193 mph
so - the 911 turbo is faster than an R1 in a straight line, the Porsche will obviously corner quicker. However, the R1 gets to 60 quicker, and it will get through traffic more easily
The absolutely initial acceleration the car will win, because the R1
just can't keep the wheel down... When the R1 gets into the zone... it'll whop the butt of the 911, but the R1 is probably limited to the 186mph,
This is why so many porsche drivers at the 'ring complain about bikers; because the Porsche is a car, bikers automatically assume that they are faster
turning left would be a very good choice IMO

4 wheels will always be faster, you get better girp, airodianmics, stability and and can put much biger engines in.
Down side cost alotmore!
