Good Deal?

Post by jigga1980 »

Just looking at this on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=004

It was advertised last week but nobody bid on it. Am I being daft or is there something obviuosly wrong with it. A good condition newer one seems to sell well. Birmingham isn't far from me so considering going to have a look.

Cant see there would be anything wrong with it hard to say with out seeing the bike. Reserve is probably about £2000 it worth up to about £2500 private sale so its not that cheap, still nice original example.

Seen this on bike trader

1998 KAWASAKI ZXR400, 17000 Miles

Price:
£1,700

ono.

Features:

* 17,000 miles
* 400 CC
* S reg (1998)

Full Description:

Glossary of Terms

full Mot, Scorpion exhaust, excellent runner and condition, just been serviced. no timewasters.. £1,700. ono

-------

Looking on the specs page on here it would be the L8 rather than the L9. Is it worth paying more money for the L9 model being "a greatly improved engine"

Only 16 miles away from me so tempted to have a look, would rather buy it in person than on ebay.

as far as im aware they didnt change the engine ever...

the L9 is just had less years out of the factory, not a deciding factor for me!

there were minimal changes, but nothing that would push the decision between L8 and L9

some of the later models had stronger barrel area, a sort of reinforced square section on the piston block (externally). Not sure if they had extra cooling channels in them or something to get more water round the actual cylinder walls...
