predator or micron full system?
hi
ive been chatting to a 400 guru, and was recommendeda titanium predator full downpipe and can system as it sounds, weighs, and performs the dogs, its £435 inc vat....for the stainless one
there is a full system on ebay, by micron for £375...
my q is, which is best...it seems micron have stopped 400 production...
im not selling my bike, i love it and want to beef it up a bit...so any input would be great!

Re: predator or micron full system?
no idea about predator systems, but i cant fault the micron race system on mine, well, its not very loud, but thats the only thing i can complain about, which isnt really a valid complaint.
scorpion systems are apparently no better than stock as far as bhp is concerned, although they are lighter and being stainless wont rot.
if you want the best system you can get, speak to MHP, their system is 6-7 hundred quid but most of the racers swear by it.
used to have a titanium Beet 4-1 system, that was awesome as regards sound and topend power, but killed the midrange.

Re: predator or micron full system?
just looked at the predator systems online, being a 4-1 it'll kill midrange torque compared to the micron (4-2-1) also the sales blurb doesnt quite make sense (to me at least) as it claims both an 8HP increase over stock as well as no re-jetting required, 8hp from an exhaust (on its own) is hopeful to say the least, and to realise such a gain, re-jetting would be required... given the above... i'd steer clear and get a micron if its a road bike, or an MHP/Beet if its a track toy.

there is no Akra pipe for the zxr400 afaik, peeps put akrapovic cans on other headers .. but cans dont make any (real) difference.
