Exhaust System

Post by Azoka »

Hey Guys,

I live in South Africa and have just purchased myself my first bike, a 1997 zxr 400 l,
i want to fit an aftermarket exhaust to it, but i just get the standard reply across the
board of: "we don't do pipes for that bike" anyone know where i can go so that i can
maybe import one for myself? or any other aftermarket exhausts that would maybe fit?
any help would be much appreciated!

i put a full micron system on my zxr. it sounded brilliant, however budget for putting it on a dyno to get the jetting sorted. i recommend adding dynojets and a k&n air filter.

i dont think yoshi do a full system for the zxr4?

if your after just a end can then you have alot more choices plus it will be alot cheaper and you'll get the sound your after but you wont get any performace gains

the Micron system is a 4-2-1 system that adds power and makes the power deilvery smother as well as giving it a nice tone.

Theres a few specalist pipe builders about that still make new system for the zxr but your looking £600 + for them

anything that will fit the mounting holes! i think the older zx6r ones will fit, you've just got to mesure the outlet and the bolt spaceing

micron & scorpion are probably the most popular, they look and sound great.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
