Just got a call from the guy, left him a msg to confirm he was still ok to meet Satruday...

He says can you pay cash aghhhr. On the ebay listing it says paypal, I offered to pay in cash if he wanted but he said paypal is fine, this was Monday. Now today a day before i'm coming he wants cash. I said it's too late now, I asked you Monday so it would give me time to get to the bank.

I could do a internet bank transfer, although unless he's with the same bank as me will be a few days although he can see me doing it.

I did say that paypal charge him fee's but he said this was fine. I don't see the bank transfer being a problem. Will show hiim ID to show it's my account and he can see the money go out of my account. Will also delete him as a recipent so I haven't got his details too.

Only thing is I can delete the payement I think, just won't mention that. Not going to just don't want any hiccups.

Bought WOO HOO!!

Nice bike, my mate test rode it for insurance puproses, says really good. Although lower down torque was more than he thought, perhaps needs re jetting as has new exhaust system. But he's never rode one before so dunno. Otherwise all ok, clutch needs adjusting lol, nothing then suddenlty bites.

Suprised how light it felt! I havent' rode it myself yet, just changed the insurance over, £60 just to change it over for a month! Robbing Feckers (bennets). THe problem is it's garaged at another location, basically next to my mate's house. So think will get net quotes and but his postcode/address as garaged addresses. Bennets have classed it as kept 'on the road' plus with alarm/imob I can see why it's a lot.

Next things to do now, crash bungs and spare blank key off ebay.

Shame it's forecast to rain tommorow! agghrrr

Just been looking around it today.

Noticed there is no baffle in the exhaust. Scorpion (see pic on first page)

I assume I can buy one for it? there is a space for one to go.

Looks the same as what i used to have for mine. I eventually made my own baffle as i couldnt find anywhere that sold them. Just a tube with a correctly sized flange for it to attatch to. Heres a pic of what the proper one looked like if you fancy making one up.

Thanks Rob,Looking at "DB killers" Mainly for the MOT and testing when it's at my garage.

Just want to ride it now! Will have to wait until next weekend at least, just hope it's ok weather.

Just rang a few places and alarms are £300 + basically. So can't justify paying an extra £200 just for a certificate. Worst case is the insurance just class it as a standard alarm rather than a cat1 so would get less discount. But it's piece of mind for me really not just for insurance purposes.

Hunting for insurance quotes now, chepeast so far is £309 fully comp. That's assuming I get the alarm off ebay. Difference between 'approved' alarm fitting and myself is £3 lol.

I've ordered the meta alarm. For £110 it will do the job.

Got a good insurance quote too, £255 fully comp, courtesy bike 90 days europe cover, £170 excess. Also covered to ride any other bike third party.

Was paying that last year for the zzr 250, so can't grumble really. That's with A Quote with Norwich Union.

The weather is looking ok for Saturday, if a bit cold and slightly windy. Only going out for a bit locally if it's cold while I get used to the bike.
