new paint job?
Hi guys,
I was thinking of taking the bike off the road for the winter, whilst off road I am going to have the wheels power coated gold.
The front fairing was (badly) replaced by previous owner, and has a bad paint job.
I was thinking of repainting it green/white/black as link below:
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3835&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15
see 'my new bike, well new to me' topic under gallery for current paint job.
what do you think?
sean

I really like that paint scheme myself, long as you have a black frame it'll go a treat! Dont think it will go with gold wheels tho!

The gold wheels look nice on yours, and your has the green front. Maybe black would look better though, still time to decide.
I now just need to have the courage to set a date for the dismantle. :smt017
cheers

The greens not staying tho, i also think its a slightly different shade too, looks a bit darker to me. But come christmas its getting a temporary paint job in matt black (blame Jamz) till i get the money to paint it properly in my chosen colour!
The wheels are subaru gold if your interested in the exact colour. As it is that bike looks lush to me, green with black wheels, nice and simple.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm...
Black with pink wheels
sounds a bit Poundshop, ie, the sort of thing you'd find on a toy bike in a blister pack of ten in there.
Maybe you could get day glo green graphics, paint your engine with that faux chrome paint and fit one of those green screens too for the ultimate 'poundshop' look
I think I've hit on something...

I'm not against black or pink either really (maybe there's a song in there somewhere?), but together?
Maybe I'm just too conservative?

Re: new paint job?
Yes, that's swayed it!
Looks awesome, very bold statement.
I think the green and black with the white number patches is the way to go for me. A little safe but does look nice - 'the power of understatement'!
I'm still deliberating over the gold wheels, will have to photoshop something.
Is powder coating or paint best for wheels? I've been quoted £15 for blasting and £35 for finishing, is that a fair price?

Re: new paint job?
The matt black with the polished frame looks freakin brilliant. My frame is black tho.
Has anyone ever done tiger stripes?
One of the BMWs on 'The long way down' has a patch of tiger striping on it, looks cool.
It wouldnt have to be black and orange, black and pink maybe?
