Here's a chance to show off your zxr400, so get them digital cameras out and show us some piccies.Rebuilding your bike or modding it then let everyone in on it.
errrrrrrrrrrr bloody battery was flat and after pushing it up and down a hill 3 times i was too fecked to bother so left it.Gotta get me an optimate. will whip the panels off and use some jump leads later, try and get it back in on friday.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
pushed the GPz out of the garage this morning, then went back through the house locking up, picking up my bag and lid, setting the alarm, locking the front door...then tried to start the bike.
Cranked over for maybe ten seconds without any real enthusiasm, then that was it, it would only click the solenoid. Made a half arsed attempt to bump it up the road, before giving up and deciding to get the ZXR out.
Back through the house, unset the alarm, etc etc. Get the ZXR out of the garage - this time I'm wise to it and fire it up in the garage to check - starts easy so I switch it off again while I put the GPz away and lock everything up again. Back out the front of the house and I'm finally ready to go. Push the starter again....nope. Just cranked over and over...
Left it for a minute then tried again and it fired up. Was starting to worry though!
Must get another set of leads for the optimate so I don't have to fish out the battery on the Gpz to charge it.
In the garage:
Kawasaki ZXR400 L3 - shiny
Suzuki DR800 - bouncy
1978 Suzuki GS400 - PROJECT RETRO RACER!
Kawasaki GPz500S - for sale soon
Honda CG125 BR-J - in bits
Its not part of the MOT check so i dont see why it shouldnt, they might give you an advisory but they cant fail you on it as its not constituting a dangerous riding condition.
