when you reply to a thread, look below the box where you type, theres a tag saying 'upload attachment', click on that and the rest is self explanatory i hope :)

Well it didnt have keys or log books so i bought a replacement ignition set with petrol cap and seat lock off ebay for around £25 which was cheap compared to ma scooters wen i lost the keys for it :smt003 . Still waiting on the log book though not sure how long it takes to come back to me!

After i fitted the ignition i was dying to hear what the bike sounded like but i thought the battery would be dead. So i tried it just for the crack hoping for a bit of luck and it started straight away and my ears were loving the noise :smt001

i need to get it restricted however to 33bhp which im not sure how much that will set me back so any clues??

The bike has 23k miles on clock which for its ages is awesome!!! the bike is in great condition too!!!

and it is a H reg!

yeah that'll be an L1 then :)

it will cost you nothing to restrict if you look at this thread

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=5599

Im not 100% sure on this but ive heard its not a legal requirement to have restriction certificates, you'll need to check it out for sure tho. I know when i got a bike restricted it cost about 120 quid for the washers and 60 quid to fit them!!! :S

it wont have lost any of its horses really.

certainly not enough to get away with not restricting it.

well it has been known for people to get away with it, people dont get asked for certificates when they have an accident and the police certainly dont seem to ask, but its not really worth running the risk really, especially when you look at it from the legal side of things, you could potentially be driving without a license, that can get you into al sorts of trouble if your caught!

spend a few hours finding out for sure and then go from there. DVLA might be a good start? But i definately wouldnt risk it for the sake of a few hours finding out for sure.

Hi Tom welcome to the zxrworld forum.Very nice zxr400 you got there, in the best colour scheme too, not your old one is it Gem??

if you need some restriction washers speak to lindaloo she has some for sale.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
