you're insurance and MOT will be fine and will show up online. BUT, you cant tax it online because the DVLA will only post the tax disc to the registered owner on the V5.... been there done that and felt very silly!!

i never tax my bikes until i get pulled for it. police cant do anything other than inform the dvla and they just send you a notice that says "TAX NOW OR WE WILL FINE YA AZZ!"

so then i go pay it, i've gone anywhere from 18 months to 3 years before being caught without tax. even had an accident a couple of years ago and insurence company weren't bothered.

i always have an MOT and Insurence though, those two are vital.

Another thing i do is i almost always carry my license around with me, and if i've only recently insured or MOT'd i carry those too. Cant stand coppers that like giving producers just to waste your time. if you can show your documents at the side of the road the bastardos cant give you that annoying slip of paper.

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

The writing on my tax disc washed off long ago, it's a blank plain disc. They only write it with biro anyways...
Don't need to carry docs with you everywhere now, they check insurance and stuff when they pull you over from the reg number. Just your licence they want to see now.

And maybe a little cleavage.
