Anyone Else Come A Cropper Yesterday?

Post by Jamz »

Jayyyyyyyyysus!

The Biking Gods weren't smiling yesterday, were they?

Gemini got a filthy great big puncture, another mate had an accident and snapped the RHS footrest hanger (exactly a week after fitting a new LHS one!), and another mate dropped it on The Cloverleaf!?

In contrast, I had a damn good blast last night! :smt003

Did everyone else make it home in one piece???

Last night's ride was scary. Gem didn't give a f***, Wayne is always a little bit psychotic and james' zx9 is stupidly fast. The roads wern't in the best condition either.

I was saying to the lads at the R&C Gem, you couldn't have got that puncture far away 'cus the rate it was coming out you'd have been riding on the rims.

the reason i know it was there is cuz the screw was stickin out nearly an inch, and when i got home it was flush with the tyre.

so if i had got it say, a mile up the road, when i got to r&c the screw wouldnt have been stickin out

i cant b arsed with the rose n crown, no atmosphere imo

but last nite's ride was a good 'un! i ride quite well when i am lookin thru a clean visor! :smt003

To be honest, me baz and james just stood there staring at someones dog all night, then we thought about coming to look for you, in the end we couldnt be arsed. :smt002 . I was waiting for the cunts to bring out some more sausages.. never did.

Although there was this one fit bird there with naughty pig tails.

Yeah, now you say it I guess it must have been as we pulled off the dual carriageway somewhere there, because the rate the air was coming out you'd have felt it anywhere else!

Simon had an 'incident' with a car on his ZX6R, and Dan fell off and tore his petticoat on his brand spanking new GSXR1000! Going from an Intruder to one of them and trying for knee-down straight away was asking for that, though...

They had loads of sausages in the kitchen, but didn't have any bread rolls left so decided not to bother bringing them out! vsad

I think the disappointment of that made me miss the pigtailed wench, too! :smt009

didn't ride anywhere other than to and from work yesterday, but managed not to fall off in that 7 miles of riding :smt003

also managed to do a track evening at cadwell on tuesday without dying horribly :smt003

so for me at least, it's all good.

Well my brother and i nearly got written off (had just dropped my bike off at a mechanics house and i was pillion), we were on the M2 just going underneath the brenley roundabout (not sure if any of you know this) when a car pulled off the sliproad accross both lanes and tried to go into us in the overtaking lane. my brother had to swerve into the gap next to the crash barriers while i was thinking fucking hell this is it. my god it would have been bad, slammed into or over the bariers into another 2 lanes of motorway... i wonder where these idiots come from sometimes.

oh yeah some great sign language was performed, as i was pillion it was quite easy. my brother then pulled over into the slow lane and waited for the idiot to pass us, but he was obviously scared and hid behind a lorry (i looked behind to check) until we took our turning off.

Lol yeah, that was a rather narrow gap! After he made it past I was half-expecting him to have a good look under the hedge on that next corner!

My only 'moment' was taking a fast sweeping left-hander only to find it was actually the approach to an island! :smt003 It was a nice tyre-screeching drift while I braked and got it turned the other way, anyway! :smt010
