Were to buy a micron system?
Hi guys, looking at doing a few bits to my bike, got quite a nice art can on it, the downpipes are ok but look pretty nasty,
Was thinking about a micron system, but it would seem i cant find one anywhere, do they even still make them?
Im guessing a full system will have a fair bit more improvement than just a can?
If i cant get a micron, i've had a look through the exhausts bit and theres a few there, but what would people recommend other than a micron system?
Also, is it wise putting a k&n, full system and dynojet on a bike with over 30,000 miles? It will be serviced, just wondering if its just gonna make it go bang. Don't mind if it does but would be pointless spending money if it did.
Cheers.

Re: Were to buy a micron system?
they dont make them anymore mate, have to start scouring ebay for second hand ones, or contact falloffslowly from here, he sometimes has second-hand race systems in.
micron systems are good on standard engines
best system out there is probably the Beet system, along with MHP, but these will cost almost as much as your bike if you buy new !

Re: Were to buy a micron system?
Ive got 2 spare systems at the mo. a modded micron and one that looks the same as the micron, but is 4 into 1 instead of the micron 4,2,1.
Ill probs keep the micron and sell the other.
Ill get some pix up in a bit if your interested, its not a feather weight thing like a Ti beet, but its a good pipe. Large bore headers, quality manifold brackets, and a 3 bolt link pipe. no baffles.

whats the diameter of the link pipe coming from the collector ?
how much do you want for it ? my modified stock system is umm .. blowing a bit and weighs a LOT.

Re: Were to buy a micron system?
49mm mate. Aye it is strange. The headers themselves look like the micron ones ive got, exactly the same collers, but then they go into the collector, which does'nt look to be stainless, like the headers do..but it is well made all the same, i doubt it was a diy effort.
dunno what to ask for it tbh, offers?

Re: Were to buy a micron system?
micron headers are stepped mate .. well mine are, those look to be smooth taper ..

dunno what to offer without being rude tbh mate, got a full micron system including stainless can for 155 delivered a couple of weeks back (but it went on my GF's bike
), and i'd need a new link pipe making up to match any of the cans ive got... dunno, curiosity says get it and see.. rest of me says hang on for a beet/complete system..
