Anyone good with electic's?

Post by Mr.Mash »

Hello, The bikes got a datatool veto alarm so i needed to isolate it before i disconnected the battery, so i done all that (ignition on hold the button down for 5 sec's ignition off) then the alarm beeps every 15 sec's to tell you its not connected to the bike, anyway finished up for the day reconnected the battery and reset the alarm so it wouldn't keep beeping all through the night got that all done the alarm turned on and off as normal came out the next day went to isolate the alarm as before turned the key and nothing its completely dead, the alarm still works okay but that's it, i found i pulled a wire of the neg' battery terminal (black with yellow strip) checked the manual that said it goes to the regulator/rectifier i have tested that as it says in the manual it all seems good does anyone know what it might be i'v been told to check there's power coming out of the cdi but my electrical skills are about as good as my brain surgery, I have a mate who is a mechanic but he's busy till the weekend is there anything i can check before he comes out with a multimeter.

Thanks in advance.

Get onto mcnninjas.co.uk and PM (bikealarm)Blair.
Mention a mental Jock in an Predator mask and see what he says :smt005

Seriously, he fits the things and knows them inside and out.
