happy boy tonight

Post by cargo »

I have sold both of the ZXRs I was selling................. :smt003 :smt003

A guy rang last week said he and his mate wanted them............told me he'd come up tonight and would have the cash with him sure enough they landed had a bit of a look liked what they saw and off they went with both bikes.

I did them a good price as they took both and threw in some part worn race tyres and an oil filter each

Everyone is happy I've made a few quid they've got a fine bike each even the ferry company made something on the deal when I brought one of them home...................now I'd like two more please in fact two a month.....and I could nearly quit work :smt003

Jez you couldn't give them away never mind sell..............I know a man that'll give you £50 for any Rover you care to bring him say their only good for the crusher.

The bikes have gone to the deep dark south of Ireland where the two lads want to use them for track days so they are now officially exported

DOH am I thick or what LOL :smt003

it sounds like a good wee bike but I'm afraid that maybe £1500 is too much despite all the good bits and it would seem to have been well looked after...............I'd buy it but getting back here would mean that my price for it would be too low for him.

I've seen dozens of ZXRs that I'd want to buy but everytime the cost of getting it across here leaves me with not a lot to make on the deal.
I really wanted that yellow one that was on here and on ebay but the price got too much..........same old story oldman

The two I've just sold came to me at very good prices..............and I already had all the parts to fix the one with a knackered engine................could be months or years before I get anymore like that.

Just now I'd be interested in a damaged one either crash or engine damage but it would need to be cheap as chips to come across there to get it.............

Pffffft. I could balk, but I'll settle for mentioning that 220 GSi's in half decent nick are still going for a grand a piece.

That and the fact that they beat the new taxation rates, could very well see a rise in their popularity and therefore price.

My bad, failed to mention my not considering anything without a turbo now.
Narrowminded, me?
No, it's just that now I know boost.

Has a turbocharged ZXR 400 been done before? :smt017

probably, but with 14,000 rpm and a stock compression ratio of 11:1 (?) it wouldn't be exactly "bolt on" ..

Agreed, oil pressures for one thing would be a nightmare. But if I have her long enough, it may be something I'll look into. After the 444 kit, anyway. Now that'd be an interesting bike to live with...

its not oil pressure youd need to worry about.
