French newbie

Post by vince67 »

Hi everyone :-D ,

I'm french (near Strasbourg) and newbie,
I just bought a ZXR400L1, because all the DIY on my Aprilia RS250 had tired out me...
I hope my choice is good to ride more than to work on the bike :smt003

some pictures of my new bike:

I read a lot of very good informations on this forum, of course I will have some questions soon ;-)

thank you very much for your welcome :-D

because all the speedo support is monobloc by welding, I modified the support according the picture below, drill the 6 welding point and grinding the 2 welds on the top to keep the rev counter and the water gauge:
Image
I take out the standard counter because in France we didn't use the mph and the kmh write in blue are unreadable during riding :smt013

the new digital counter I use is a VR2 from VEYPOR, with a lot of possibilities, ie: Gear Indicator, Lap Timer, Shift Light, Data logging drag force, dyno curves, etc...
For the moment I didn't study all the possibilities but the VR2 from VEYPOR it's a very good product, and cheap (due to the gap between euros and dollars :smt033 )

That sounds like a tasty bit of kit, I like the sound of that.
*Goes off to have a shufty at the link*

The bike looks lovely, and I think you're in the right place, judging by how willing you are to offer evidence and guides to interesting things like that VR2...
