Re: chug chug dead
I think I have found the problem. At the weekend I removed the tank and the fuel pump and replaced the inline filter. I then conected the pump directly to the battery and filled the carbs with fuel and hey presto it starts fine. Does this mean it could only be the relay that is broken?

he's just replaced the filter. Try turning it over with the tube from the pump to the carbs in a jar and see if it pumps fuel into it. If you know the pump works (from battery test) and you've replaced the fuel filter, then it will either work or if not its the relay, or a broken wire from relay to pump.
These things are sent to try us!!

Re: chug chug dead
I've replaced the pump relay and filter and it all seems to be working! Bike starts and runs can see the pump sucking fuel into the fileter so all should be well!
Will wait to see how it fairs on a run. Shant take it too far as the push home last time nearly killed me!
