Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
first one is NOT a craft helmet it s a cheap streetfighter job.
2nd is a shark, never rated em and never tried em but heard a lot of good comments about them.
3rd is cheap i wouldn't spend less than £150 on a new lid.
4th is just the visor so you may be a bit disappointed.
5th is ex display so means its been tried on by the world and its wife and dropped as many times, personally i don't care if its been dropped we all do it.
my opinions.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
Ive done almost 15,000 miles in a shark. Crashed twice, fucking mint lids, 5 stars in the sharp ratings. cant go wrong.
Buying off Ebay isn't such a good idea, you never know if the lid fits perfectly and if somethings wrong you may not be able to return it.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
fit and sharp ratings are worth more than brand names, flashy design and price .. my arashi cost me 42 quid, fits like a glove and got 4 star's .. i like it ..
go to a big dealership and make a nuisance of yourself trying everything on, then haggle like your life depended on it (they are on close to 100% markup normally and should shift a bit) or buy the one you've decided on off ebay or similar.
i liked my shark foggy rep, although the visor was crap. It was utterly fooked after a big crash and i didnt even know i'd hit my head, i guess that means it worked

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
Herd all the big wig helmit makers complaing about the sharp tests because there getting crap ratings compaired to the cheaper lids?
There reasoning being that "its unlikely" that you would hit your head there so they put no potection to keep it light. Well sorry for expecting my hole head to be protected insted of just the likely places to hit the ground...
And i LOVE that fact that Aria are finaly being shown as the overpriced stuff that it is

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
not only that, they make stronger shells for the US market as the snell test is more thorough !
thats just wrong, but shoei and arai both do it.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
roof daytona's are good lid's if you want the streetfighter type look .. know someone who uses them for racing and swears by them.

available in many colours, with or without stripes, and often for a V good price .. but as said before .. go to a big shop and try before you buy, if its not comfortable, just dont go there.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
not my usual read but i got bike magazine this month and it rates several lids, the Arai did very poorly given its price, a cheap Nitro did better.
I smashed 3 Nitros last year, an AGV year before, so far this year i've smashed an M2R. Non cost more than £100 and i reckon did as good a job as any other could have.
Check the fit and the test ratings, the brand or price doesn't matter so long as you like the look and its in budget.

Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THESE?
I have one of these, absolutely swear by it. I remember when i first got it, and thinking it was pat of my head, it fit so well! Mine was £250 new, dunno about prices now but will get another when mine is due in a few years time if i dont drop it first.zimm wrote:
