K&N - What a difference!

Post by maz66 »

Just fitted my new K&N for my L model zxr and couldn't believe how much of a difference it made. I've only taken it out for a quick spin but it was far smoother and also revved to 10,000 revs (my bike is limited...b*stard)a lot quicker. I'm hoping to give it a good go down the link road to work later.

Also, i followed the workshop manual on the site and found that as useful as it was, i didn't need to take the tank off, just the front cover. Tried uploading an image but it was too big! any ideas? i got a mac too

ive been thinking of getting one of these, and now ive seen they do make a bit of a difference i think i will get one. ive always wondered if it would be better to leave the top of the airbox off so the hoses are blowing air directly into it though? i guess in the rain the filter would get a bit wet though?

oh right thats quite supprising, i thought due to their position they would atleast push a bit of air to the airbox

they do nowt as rover220 has said, and K and N's do pretty much nothing for an otherwise standard bike unless your OE one is clogged to hell or split.
