Yet another n00b

Post by Big_g »

Hey there,Im Graeme,23.Story goes......Driving a starlet thats basically a track car now and REALLY cant be arsed working on it anymore, need to get kicks another way.Thats where 2 wheels come into play.Theory is booked and then get the practical out the way later on.
I have no experiance on bikes atall (well a few shots of a mates crosser) so im worried about jumping on something too big and coming staright back off it.Always liked something about the zxr400,still kinda rare and light ect. Only problem i see is position on the bike. Ive sat on 1 before and dont know if i was too big? Im 5'10,kinda average but felt my knees where kinda high up on the tank....again,its the only sportsbike ive sat on so they might all be like this :tease Lol,that sounds totally n00b :gamer

So yeah........hi :smt020

I'm 6ft2" with 33" inside leg - And I find I am not too big for my zxr (comfort is a no-no though).

Spend most of my time showing starbo's the way around the local twisties actually. :pmsl

Thanks for the replys, have nothing to fear then :smt020 Doubt i'll do my test before christmas though:( monies need to go elsewhere.
I take it the zxr is good enough for longer distances? Like 200 miles maybe? I know, as said above might get sore but the bike itself should cope(not like a 2t that would blow up) Its just i somethimes go out pillion with a work pal (vfr750) and the route is a touch over 200 miles.A few of us from work are all aiming for a bike so would be a good laugh with us all out :excited

welcome. The ZXR is just fine for longer distances, providing you take care of the bike (as with any bike) it will take pretty much anything you throw at it.

good luck with the test n all that
