Why the name?
Saw this on another forum and thought it was quite interesting and funny.
So why the forum name?
For me, Carney UK ....... nicknamed Carney in NI due to Austin Powers. He describes Carneys as "Circus Folk" (I'm 5'3") "Big Hands" (I was a refueller and always wore big POL gloves) " Stink of Cabbage" Saturady night on the piss, then Sunday roast with loads of cabbage = not happy work collegues on Monday morning!!
Oh yeah, and I'm from the UK

Re: Why the name?
When I started racing I wanted a team name, or race name, as my name is Ball, I thought of Ball's out Racing, as in Ball is out racing, that turned into Ballsout Racing. That was before I got a computer, so once I got one and joined bike forums I used that name. Not actually sure that I ike it as a forum name
, but since I started with it, I thought I'd better stick with it so that people know it's me on all the forums I visit

Re: Why the name?
The one i use most is "Moriwaki man!"
This was because i got my ZRX400 with a Moriwaki straight system on it.
In my youth most bikes had Yoshimura but occasionally one had a Moriwaki (mostly Monster) on it and the "man!" was meant as I have one , a bit like "dude!"
However , most take it as my gender and that I am Moriwaki man and not actually my initial intention.
We all like nick names so i sign off mostly MM! and indeed when questioned i will get "Hey MM! , can you ....... " or if some one is replying to a query "Mori , sorted me out with a ....... "
So on here I asked for a change to "Mori man"
MM!

Re: Why the name?
My real name is Stephen Carr when I was at primary school I played football and our coach would shout and holler at us making demands telling us what to do.
He rarely used anyones first name if it was easier to use a surname and so.........................
Carr go...........................
Became ...................Cargo
Easy really.................
I have friends in this world who only know me as Cargo I sometimes even get post addressed to Mr Cargo.
Been stuck with it for 37 years................... prob be on my tombstone
On a related theme a good friend of mine lived and raced in Holland in the race programme teams were listed alphabetically...............so to make sure he was top of the list he called his race team................ Aardvark Racing........................... he actually Scottish and lives on the IOM now

same reason the makers of "Wallace & Grommit" went with "Aardman" when listed for animation makers.cargo wrote: On a related theme a good friend of mine lived and raced in Holland in the race programme teams were listed alphabetically...............so to make sure he was top of the list he called his race team................ Re: Why the name?
I've usually got some big long back-story on other forums where I use the names 'MrFiction' or 'Nasty Evil Ninja'!
For this one, it's because... I'm called James!
The Z thing comes from my poetry signature, but I won't tell you all that because it's a bit Ghey.

I chose my forum name because my nick name at work is SOIL and my first bike was a ZXR400, nice and simple.

Gingernm...
First part is obvious... yes I'm ginger!!
N Northern, because I'm a Northerner living in the south
M Monkey, southern work folk's nickname for me!!
Thankfully i'm quite light hearted, cause if not work would be depressing with the about of banter that goes on! We have a very mixed race base, strangers in our area can get a shock with the name calling that goes on!!!

Re: Why the name?
Vard because my surname is Vardon, and through secondary, there were ALWAYS three Chris's in the tutor group, so surnames got used and then shortened.
There's barely anyone who has called me Chris for the last eight odd years, even teachers and bosses have called me Vard...
Lord knows why the 66 part, the only reason it's on here is because it's on Rovertech, and the only reason it's on Rovertech is because it's my XBox LIVE gamertag. I have no idea why I used 66 in my gamertag. It was probably that when I setup my hotmail account, 'skyhook' was taken, so I just went 'skyhook11' ... no, 'skyhook22' ... taken, 'skyhook33'... nope... etc etc.
I keep it the same across the net though. Any forum you find a 'Vard66' on, odds are more than high that it's yours truly.
